DanceSport Boston Dance Studio

DanceSport Boston is a full time Ballroom Dance Studio owned and directed by Anne Marie and John Paul. They have been teaching Ballroom Dance since the early 1980's. Anne Marie and John are a professional couple and competed int he American Style Rhythm and Smooth Divisions professional consistently achieving finalist positions. They retired from professional level competitions in 1992.

John & Anne Marie taught 13 Ballroom and Latin dance classes at Boston University for over 15 years. Anne Marie is still a part time faculty member in the Boston University Dance Department. In addition to her activities at Boston University she maintains her own full time schedule along with John teaching and preparing their own students for both social and competitive levels of ballroom dancing.

History

"DanceSport Boston" was established in 1994 in Boston Massachusetts. Our initial years doing business included teaching Ballroom Dance, vending top quality Ballroom Music CD's to our industry peers at DanceSport Competition venues. We opened our current location in 2002 in North Weymouth, Massachusetts. We added the service of supplying ballroom dance shoes, and established our monthly Saturday Evening Ballroom Dance™ on the South Shore in Hanover, MA. Those Saturday dances were discontinued during the Covid crisis. The venue also is no longer available.

We still offer group classes designed for every skill level Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening in our studio. Individual lessons are available for those so inclined.
